History and Mission
Our mission is simple: provide you with the highest quality water treatment solution at the lowest possible price, and if you have an application or situation that is beyond our experience or product line, to do our best to refer you to other sources. As part of our mission, we also contribute a portion of our sales to Water For People, an international organization founded by the American Water Works Association. Water for People helps small villages and communities worldwide improve or create sustainable drinking water hygiene and sanitation projects. Our History: The Advanced Water Systems was founded in 1998 by water treatment specialists, who started the company after 16 years in the water business. The original firm, Advanced Water Systems Inc. of Northern California, has installed over 2000 systems on contaminated water sources, for small community systems, residences, and large commercial applications, and continues to service many of these same systems today. This extensive direct field work has been recorded and maintained over the years on a custom database application developed by the founders, which allows us to track the performance of these systems. This direct experience, combined with exhaustive research and development in the area of the products we carry, allows us to offer our customers not only the knowledge of which products work well for various applications, but also support after the sale. Since we are an independent company, and not a franchise, or part of a hardware or department store chain, we can carry the best of the products available today from different manufacturers. Our technical team is comprised of certified water specialists, certified through the Water Quality Association, and California State Certified Water Treatment Plant Operators, who must certify years of direct experience on water systems, and pass rigorous board exams. Our technical team is thus not only familiar with the design and installation of our products, but has also had direct experience with the same problems and water issues our clients face.
