| For use on waters with neutral
to alkaline pH, iron levels .3 ppm to 10.0 ppm. Advantages include
no chemicals required for regeneration and low maintenance. Cannot
be used on water containing hydrogen sulfide, oil, tannins, or chlorine.
Will remove manganese only if pH is in the range 8.0 to 8.5. Great
for use as a prefilter for water softeners on water containing .4
to 5 ppm of iron. Works best if the water is aerated prior to the
filter tank, either by a holding tank or an air-injection system. |
