Frequently Asked Questions

> Power Filter Bottle

Q. Why would I need the PowerFilter?
A. Some natural waters taste bad, and can be contaminated by pollution, bacteria and parasites. Municipally treated water supplies can contain chlorine, and chlorine by-products. The PowerFilter removes these bad tastes, odors and contaminants and makes the water safe and enjoyable to drink.

Q. Why is the PowerFilter better than bottled water?
A. Bottles of water are heavy, and can be hard for many people to carry around. Often many people are around usable water supplies, such as from city water, fountains, creeks or rivers etc. If you had the PowerFilter, you would have a ready supply of fresh great tasting water at your fingertips, right from any water source (except sea water).

Q. How does it work?
A. The PowerFilter uses a combination of micro-filtration, activated carbon, and other filter media to not only remove bad tastes, sediment, heavy-metals, and bacteria.

Q. How do I use it?
A. Just fill the filter bottle with water, screw on the top, squeeze and enjoy great water!

Q. How long does it last?
A. The filter is good for 500 liters, or approximately 130 gallons.

Q. How can I tell when I should change the filter?
A. Its easy, when the flow starts to slow, then it is time to change the filter. If you use about two bottles a day, just remember to change it approximately every six months.

Q. Has it been tested?
A. Yes it has passed rigorous testing by Spectrum an independent labs. It is the only filter bottle on the market tested to NSF standards. See online for details of water analysis reports.

Q. What does it remove?
A. Unlike cheap imitations that merely remove chlorine tastes and odors, the PowerFilter actually purifies the water of bacteria, and parasites in addition to tastes and odors. No other filter bottle on the market removes these contaminants and also removes heavy metals, and organic chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides (See list of what it removes along with percentages, see chart).

Q. Does it remove minerals or salts, such as in brackish water or sea water?
A. No. It is not designed to remove minerals or salts.

Q. How much do filter replacements cost?
A. $14. That means that each gallon of water only costs 12 cents!

Q. Does it work on hot water?
A. No, do not run hot water through the PowerFilter and do not put in a microwave oven, dishwasher, or allow the unit to freeze.

Q. How long is the shelf-life of the filter?
A. Un-used, the filter will last for 10 years.

Q. Can I get a discount if I buy in quantity?
A. Yes : Qty Price 1 $39 each 2 to 4 $29 each 4 to 10 $ $27 each 10 to 100 $22 each

Q. What type of warranty does it have?
